Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of VietMarket ("we", "us", or "our") at vietmarket.ca (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VietMarket, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use VietMarket. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users who misrepresent their age.

3. User Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate and truthful information when registering.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at contact@vietmarket.ca if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • You may not create more than one account per person.

4. Listing Rules

Permitted listings

You may post listings for:

  • Services — tutoring, translation, tax preparation, beauty, cleaning, moving, photography, and other personal or professional services.
  • Housing — rooms, basements, shared apartments, homestays, and roommate searches.
  • Jobs — employment opportunities in the categories supported by the platform.

Prohibited content

You may not post listings that:

  • Offer illegal services or goods of any kind.
  • Are fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive (e.g., scam job offers, fake accommodations).
  • Constitute spam, duplicate posts, or mass-submitted identical listings.
  • Contain adult, sexually explicit, or pornographic content.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any individual or group.
  • Advertise counterfeit goods, pyramid schemes, or multi-level marketing.
  • Violate any applicable Canadian law or regulation.

5. Content Ownership and License

You retain ownership of the content you post on VietMarket (listings, photos, reviews). By posting content, you grant VietMarket a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

You represent that you have the right to post all content you submit and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

6. Reviews

  • Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experiences.
  • You may not post fake, incentivized, or defamatory reviews.
  • Service providers may post a single reply to a review they have received.
  • We may remove reviews that violate these Terms or our community standards.

7. Reporting and Moderation

Users may report listings or content they believe violate these Terms. We review reports and may remove content, issue warnings, or suspend accounts at our sole discretion. Our moderation decisions are final.

8. No Payment Processing

VietMarket is a free listing platform. We do not process payments, hold funds, or act as a party to any transaction between users. Any exchange of money or services occurs entirely between the users involved. VietMarket is not responsible for disputes, losses, or damages arising from transactions conducted through the platform.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not verify the accuracy of listings, the identity of users, or the quality of services advertised. Use the Service at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VietMarket shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us at contact@vietmarket.ca.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
